Ahh, Summer!

The best parts of our summer always involve water! And you can't beat Liberty Park's 7 Canyons for water entertainment, and it's free! We try to get over there as often as possible and usually end up spending several hours. Thanks Josie (my beautiful niece) and Elaine (my amazing sister - love you!) for spending an afternoon with us!

Daddy Rites of Passage

What better way to surprise a sleeping daddy than to do his hair?

Halloween??

Yes, Halloween. I didn't realize I hadn't posted these amazing pics of our "Medieval" Halloween. What a happy bunch, huh?

Race For The Cure

In May, my Mom, sisters, children and nephews, and my sister's sister-in-law and niece, had the opportunity to participate in the Race for the Cure. We had planned on doing the 1 mile family walk, but somehow missed the turn around and ended up doing the 5 K. The kids were amazing and had a great time. The best part was spending time with family! It was inspiring to see so many people walking for such a great cause.

Grand Daddy Lakes - Ashley National Forest

Last year (yes, last year - I said some of these pics were old!) Ricardo, Anthony and Luca went with my sisters Steph and Heather to the Grand Daddy Lakes in the high Uintahs to go hiking. This is the same area that Ricardo and I worked in our second summer together. They had a great time and got some amazing photos of the area. The boys have been asking to go back. This place is amazing! There are over 1,000 lakes in a two mile radius. They only hiked to the first lake, but it's quite a hike. Hopefully in a year or two, we'll be able to take them backpacking!

A Year In Review, Sort Of...

I finally found the USB cord to download pictures from my camera to the computer. Yeah! I was amazed to realize that I hadn't downloaded pictures since sometime last summer. Hooray for pictures because now you get to see that we actually have been doing things, some of them even fun!

Papier-Mache Gone Wrong

Yesterday afternoon my Mom and I spent a few hours covering some balloons in papier-mache for an activity for our upcoming family reunion. To aid in the drying process, we put the balloons outside and left them there overnight. This morning, to my dismay, not only had the balloons swelled, cracking the exterior, the balloons popped, and in two cases, actually melted! We are changing our plans, but we couldn't let those balloons go to waste!

A Whole Year!

Today is June 1st. A year ago today we were in the courtroom with the Utah Supreme Court, fighting the Navajo Nation to keep our beautiful children. So what has a year out of court done? Nothing! We have yet to hear from them or know their decision! But what has a year done for our family? Everything! Ella is a beautiful 4 year old with an amazing sense of humor. she is so loving and sweet and always willing to help. Anthony, besides turning 10 (almost 11), has grown about 6 inches and is almost as tall as his mom. He has had an amazing school year, he's a great help around the house and has an incredible sense of humor (just like his dad). We are blessed! Do we want to hear from the court? Of course! Will it change our family? No way! Happy June 1st everyone!
