Let the fun begin!

The boys have made it through their first year at their new school! They started at a dual immersion charter school, DIA (Dual-Immersion Academy), at the beginning of the year. It was the school's first year, and I had my doubts, but it was a great year with wonderful teachers and some great experiences.

Anthony has made HUGE improvements in his reading in both English and Spanish. And of course he's still a math wiz. It was fun to see him be so excited about going to school each day. He had some amazing teachers that really supported him. He's made some good friends and is already looking forward to next year!

Luca had a super kindergarten year. He finished the year reading at a 2nd grade level in Spanish and a 1st grade level in English. He amazes me! He was up and down on how much he liked school, but he can't stop talking about being a "first grader". Hopefully that will get us through to the start of next year before he starts whining about having to go to school "every day!"

We are so proud of both boys. I've enjoyed having time with just the little ones, but I can't wait to play with the boys this summer!
